BLOGGING 101: Is it important to be part of community

So you create a blog and start writing reviews. And then what? Do you wait around hoping people will notice your content or do you go into a mysterious bookland?

     • ADVERTISING
I know nobody really wants to go to other people blogs and scream 'hey look at me I have a blog too'. But sometimes it has to be done. There are so many blogs now out there that if you never leave an address to yours it is very little chance anybody even if they want can find you. I am not saying you have to spam! Read content of other blogs, commend and just leave your address under your post. There is nothing wrong saying 'Hannah @ www.psilovethatbook.com' or 'Comment comment. I just reviewed this book too, you can see more of my thoughts @ www.psillovethatbook.com'. After all if you start talking to somebody and like their opinion why not go and check out their website?

     • TWITTER COMMUNITY
If you have been around for awhile you might have noticed that no other platform has so much bookish chats as twitter. Twitter is like a capital in bookland. But does it mean you have to always chat with other booklovers? Definitely no. Twitter is like this magical time eating machine. So pick your chats, check out the hashtags. Some conversations are live but some also take time over days. Check your availability and pick one that is best for you.

     • BOOKSTAGRAM
There are so many platforms to show off your content and if you follow bookstagram you know that many bloggers announce their new posts out there too. Should you do it? Maybe. First of all do you like taking book pictures? Just like Twitter Bookstagram can be extremely time consuming. However, it can attract attention without directly talking to people. So once again, if you have time do it but if that time is very limited I would rather invest it in following other blogs and twitter.

     • BUT DOES COMMUNITY MATTER IN GENERAL?
And here I have to go with a huge YES! When you write your posts you are a giver. But if we all were givers who is gonna take it? How are you to improve your work if you don't know what others are doing? And most importantly how are you to make bookish friends if you don't interact. You don't need to dress up and go out there to talk to strangers in hopes to find a bookish friend. We are already here. Put on your pjs, get a nice cup of tea and talk. Talk about books you read, talk about books you gonna read or maybe not gonna read at all. Share tips and experiences! There is nothing more amazing than making bookish friends, trust me.

Feel free to leave a link to your blog down below in the comments and we sure gonna check it out. Cheers to new friends!

I hope it was helpful and I will see you next time!
